The Oxford Murders

Once more hi out there,
with love and care for the very (I could easily say extremely) few who read this blog,
here I go again with something I just happened to watch: The Oxford Murders.
Another mystery - murder in a university, intriguing movie, mixing the basics of geniouses at the verge of lunacy, well-hidden secrets, libraries etc. etc.
Quite a great cast, John Hurt is a huge actor whatever you may say, and Elijah Wood can act on something more that the pityful short with a ring burden.
But, it didn't convince me. At least not so much. You see the absence of something new and catchy in the scenario, the predictable changes and revolutions and most of all a few childish points, especially the one in the library that they found the secret code of mathematicians in something that looked more like a magazine - probably Readers Digest. Fail. The atmosphere was generally too much biased for a teen romance movie that lost a lot of the mystery. Yeah right, here we have ancient mysteries, murders, manic lunatics - lets have sex (??????).
Anyway, the movie is not bad, the script is generally predictable, so I do not say anything else here to avoid spoil the story.
Watch it if you have time and mood,
don't expect the movie of the century,
and please remember: All libraries in England are hidding a dark secret that can make you rich and famous and most students in the highest positions are close to madness.
Yours,
FM

5/10 it wasn't bad, but neither new.
